1 From the Beginning…
Ever since I can remember, I have loved to create! During elementary school, I continuously sketched ideas in my notebook and was among the first students at my school to start using any software I could get my hands on to create graphics.

2 Discovering Photoshop
I remember the first time I learned about the Adobe Creative Suite and realized the possibilities were endless. I was hooked!
+ Tip: Don’t be afraid to embark on the unknown. Choose something that captivates your interest and discover a tool to bring it to life. Don’t dwell on perfection; instead, enjoy the journey.
3 Pikesville High School [NOTE: 2008 – 2011]
+ At the time, I was particularly interested in filmmaking and participated in online commercial contests with friends.
+ Tip: This was a perfect time for exploration, a time to embrace new experiences and mediums
4 University of Maryland Baltimore County [NOTE: 2011 – 2015]
+ I earned my bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Some of my favorite courses included Typography, 3D Animation, and Advanced Interface Design.
+ Tip: Hustle. Don’t take anything for granted; participate in as many opportunities as possible.

+ Created the organization’s first branding guide used in all online marketing and print publications.
+ Tip: Ask for what you want. If something doesn’t exist, ask for it into existence.
6 Motion Design Intern > What Works Studio [NOTE: MAY 2014 – AUST. 2014 – 4 MOS.]
+ Worked closely with Creative Directors to produce motion graphic advertisements for State Center, a community redevelopment project in Baltimore.
+ Tip: Communicate relentlessly. Show stakeholders the progress and continuously seek and iterate based on feedback.
7 Lead Motion Designer > Int: UMBC’s Digital Signage Studio [NOTE: AUG. 2013 – MAY 2015 – 1 YR 10 MOS.
+ Storyboarded, filmed, animated, and produced motion graphic videos for campus-wide events and initiatives.
+ Tip: Help others grow. That will help your team deliver more as a whole.
8 Graphic Designer > SmartCEO [NOTE: MAY 2015 – AUG. 2015 – 4 MOS.]
+ Designed magazine spreads and advertisements for the Baltimore, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. markets.
+ Tip: Understand the concept of ‘Visual communication’ and how to employ those principles effectively in whatever design you create.
9 Product Designer > Rendia, Inc. [NOTE: JUNE 2015 – JUNE 2017 – 2 YEARS 1 MO]
+ Leveraged personas and user session recordings while designing web and tablet interfaces for optometrists and ophthalmologists from concept to finished product.
+ Tip: Be a good team member. Respect the people you work with. UX is a team sport.
10 Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) [NOTE: 2016 – 2017]
+ MICA’s 15-month graduate program provided a detailed exploration of a wide variety of UX principles, concepts, and methodologies. Take a look at my MICA projects.
+ Tip: The best way to learn is to surround yourself with information. A deep dive lets you soak up a lot.
11 Interaction Designer > emocha Health (now Scene Health) [NOTE: JUNE 2017 – SEP 2018 – 1 YR 4 MOS
+ Designed mobile, tablet, and desktop applications for 500+ healthcare workers and the vulnerable populations they serve in the U.S. and abroad (Puerto Rico, South Africa).
+ Tip: Users are real people!
12 [Add point of inspiration along timeline during your career [NOTE: 2018] Attended Framer’s Loupe conference in Amsterdam
+ I attended my first design conference thrown by the Framer team, a popular prototyping/digital design tool. The workshops and connections I made was a great experience and extremely motivating during my design career.
+ Tip: Be inspired by the greats. Understand where the bar is and work relentlessly to raise it.
13 Interaction Designer > Google
+ Currently, I work on the Google Shopping team, creating a useful, helpful, and valuable shopping experience on Search.
+ Tip: Design for all users. Accessibility is a top priority.
14 Adjunct Faculty Member > MICA
+ I teach the Prototyping Course in UX Design and am passionate about preparing my students for successful careers in UX Design.
+ Tip: Organization and communication are the top skills needed in life, especially in design/UX.
